Recent research activities of the ME Department focuses on the followings: advanced motor control, intelligent control and its applications, micro controllers and their applications, biomedical engineering: cell-sorting and optical-trapping systems, green technology, clean power and energy, electro-optics engineering, material science, rapid prototyping technology, mechatronic engineering, control of piezoelectric systems, fluid power engineering, and advanced vehicle technology.
