為培養學生國際視野與跨文化溝通能力，機械工程系於2026年6月14日至21日辦理「馬來西亞海外移地教學」，帶領學生前往雙威大學（Sunway University）、蒙納士大學馬來西亞校區（Monash University Malaysia）及馬來亞大學（Universiti Malaya）進行專業課程、實驗室參訪及文化交流，透過沉浸式學習體驗，提升學生工程專業能力與國際競爭力。

本次課程以實作導向為核心，在雙威大學安排PLC可程式控制器及Python影像處理實作課程，學生親自完成氣壓控制、程式設計、影像辨識及YOLO物件偵測等練習，將智慧製造、自動化控制與人工智慧技術應用於工程實務，充分展現理論與實作並重的教學特色。

在蒙納士大學馬來西亞校區，師生參訪機械工程、流體力學及動力系統等實驗室，深入了解智慧製造、綠能技術及學生方程式賽車、Shell Eco-marathon節能車等特色團隊，見證學生自主研發成果與跨領域合作精神，也讓同學對國際工程教育及創新研究留下深刻印象。

此外，於馬來亞大學除了參訪工程學院與化學工程系外，也走訪Rimba Ilmu植物園及動物學博物館，在專家導覽下認識熱帶植物、生物多樣性、環境保育及永續發展理念，從工程教育延伸至生態與環境議題，體現跨領域學習的重要性。學生亦與當地師生進行交流，分享學習經驗，建立珍貴的國際友誼，提升跨文化溝通能力。

透過此次海外移地教學，同學不僅接觸國際化教學環境與先進研究設備，更親身體驗不同國家的教育模式與文化特色，深化對智慧製造、人工智慧、永續發展及工程創新的理解。未來，機械工程學系將持續推動國際交流與海外移地教學，打造更多元的學習平台，培育兼具專業能力、國際視野與跨域整合能力的新世代工程人才。

To enhance students' global perspectives, cross-cultural communication skills, and professional engineering competence, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ming Chi University of Technology organized an eight-day overseas study program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 14 to June 21, 2026. During the program, faculty members and students visited Sunway University, Monash University Malaysia, and Universiti Malaya, where they participated in professional workshops, laboratory visits, campus tours, and cultural exchange activities. The program provided students with valuable opportunities to experience international higher education while broadening their academic and cultural horizons.

At Sunway University, students attended hands-on training courses on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Python-based Image Processing. Through practical exercises involving pneumatic control systems, PLC programming, OpenCV image processing, and YOLO object detection, students gained first-hand experience in industrial automation, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing technologies. The interactive learning environment enabled participants to bridge theoretical knowledge with engineering practice while strengthening their problem-solving and programming skills.

The visit to Monash University Malaysia offered students an in-depth understanding of advanced engineering education and research facilities. Participants toured mechanical engineering laboratories, thermofluid laboratories, and power system research facilities, while also learning about the university's renowned Formula SAE racing team and Shell Eco-marathon Team. These visits showcased innovative engineering design, sustainable transportation technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration, inspiring students to pursue creativity and innovation in future engineering projects.

At Universiti Malaya, students explored both engineering and environmental sciences through visits to the Faculty of Engineering, the Rimba Ilmu Botanical Garden, and the Museum of Zoology. Guided by university experts, participants learned about tropical biodiversity, ecological conservation, sustainable development, and biological research. These interdisciplinary activities expanded students' understanding beyond traditional engineering education and highlighted the importance of integrating technology with environmental sustainability. Meaningful interactions with local faculty members and students also promoted international friendship and cross-cultural communication.
